As part of the partnership agreement between the National Agency of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (ANPMA) and the province of Tata, which includes the ethnobotanical and economic study of medicinal and aromatic plants, the ANPMA team started its mission on November 10, 2024.
Led by the Project Coordinator, Prof. Abdesslam EL KHANCHOUFI, former Director of the National Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (INPMA), the team visited the Platform of the Social and Solidarity Economy for the Cooperatives of the Province. This visit offered insights into a wide range of products derived from these valuable plants and involved an in-depth discussion with the owner and the management of the platform to understand the current state of the sector and to provide valuable expertise to the motivated individuals managing this promising initiative.
The day concluded with a tour showcasing the diverse range of products displayed, highlighting the region’s rich resources.
