On June 28, 2024, the Director of the National Agency of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (ANPMA), Prof. Dalila Bousta, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Jamal Bellakhdar, a pharmacist, expert in life sciences, and prominent researcher in ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology. During his visit, Dr. Bellakhdar shared his extensive knowledge and valuable expertise with the ANPMA team, touring the ANPMA Garden of 7 Senses and other facilities. He expressed great admiration for the richness and diversity of our medicinal and aromatic plants garden.
The following day, on June 29, the ANPMA team and Dr. Bellakhdar embarked on an exploratory trip to the Taounate region. The purpose of this excursion was to identify and document the aromatic and medicinal plants present in the area. The trip included a visit to the Al Wahda Dam and an exploration of the El Oudka mountain, where many important plant species were identified.
