The National Agency of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (ANPMA) is dedicated to advancing Research & Development (R&D) in high-value fields to enhance the valorization of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAP). By promoting collaboration among research centers and relevant public and private institutions, ANPMA aims to fully leverage the potential of these natural resources both scientifically and economically.

Priority R&D Areas

Creation of an ANPMA Compound Library and Active Compound Characterization: Establishing a comprehensive library to deepen the understanding of the chemical composition of MAP.
Development of New Formulations and Products: Leveraging knowledge of MAP properties to create new therapeutic, cosmetic, food, and phytosanitary products that cater to market demands.
Valorization of Production By-Products and Waste: Exploring potential uses for by-products and waste from MAP production to reduce waste and generate new revenue streams.

Through investment in these research domains, ANPMA plays a vital role in developing a sustainable, innovative, and competitive MAP industry, thereby enhancing national natural heritage and contributing to the country’s economic growth.
